Another important activity of Vishwas is the ‘Home-based support’ through the visits and follow-up over phone. Initially the PLHIV is registered at Vishwas after obtaining their consent. The Staff of Vishwas then visit them in their homes to get to know their social, financial, and health background to make a need assessment. This is also an opportunity to counsel them to live with self-respect, and to educate them on health and hygiene.
